Converting a Turbo Turf Jet Hydro Seeding System to a Brine Sprayer is easy and works well.

Your Turbo Turf Hydroseeding System can now be used year round. It is easy and inexpensive to convert your hydroseeder to a brine sprayer. “Most” Turbo Turf Hydro Seeding Systems will work fine just the way they are. what you need to convert your Turbo Turf Hydroseeding system into an anti icing sprayer is:
- You need a boom. Any of our ice control booms can be used when matched with the appropriate controller. The boom connects to your truck by sliding the boom mounting plate into your standard truck receiver. You can mount the boom in seconds. The supply lines connect to the control unit with quick couplers and are fast and easy to attach.

- A controller. Turbo Turfs controller for the ice control conversion attaches to the ball valves and allows you to control each boom section from the cab of the truck. With the 3 lane controller you can adjust the pressure on the go. The one line control simply turns the boom on and off and there is no pressure read out or pressure adjust. Wireless controllers are also available which eliminate the need to have wires running to the truck cab. There is also a filter provided with the conversion that will screen out any materials that could potentially clog a nozzle.
The conversion kit plugs into the same cam lock fitting your spray hose usually plugs into.
The above photo shows the conversion kit used to adapt a Turbo Turf HS-300-XPW to be an ice control sprayer. The conversion plugs into the cam lock fitting where the hydro seeding discharge hose usually goes and the electric ball valves shown in the photo will control the flow to each of the three boom sections. The three hoses controlling each boom boom section plug into the cam lock fitting mounted at the front of the unit.

Suitable Turbo Turf Hydro Seeding units
Turbo Turf units that can be used for Ice Control are all units 300 gallons and above. The 50, 100 & 150 gallon units can be used but if your unit has an aluminum pump you will be a little more limited on materials and can only use materials that will not react with aluminum. If you are planning to buy a new 50, 100, or 150 gallon unit and want to use it both for hydroseeding and Ice Control we can equip the unit with a poly pump that will work for both. There is no additional charge for this change.
